Welcome to the Community Foundation of Decatur/Macon County scholarship page for Richland Community College. Below you will see a variety of scholarships that are given by Richland Community College as well as the general application for RCC Scholarships. ATHENA Award for Business Scholarship
Scholarship for books. Amount of award determined by available
funds. Scholarship awarded to a recent high school graduate.
Preference is given to a female pursuing a business degree.
Student must be enrolled full-time at Richland Community
College with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Scholarship awarded
each spring will not be available for the student until the
following fall semester.
Elliott Hospitality Management Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books to a hospitality management
major.
May be full- or part-time. A cumulative GPA of 2.5
is required.
Periman Scholarship for Accounting
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship for a student majoring in accounting
or business. May be full- or part-time student and must maintain
a 2.5 GPA. Preference given to students with financial need.
Restaurant Association Book Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Designed specifically for students enrolled in hospitality
management courses at Richland Community College. May be
a full- or part-time student, but must have a minimum of
6 credit hours and a GPA of 2.0. Must be enrolled in at least
one hospitality management course. Applications available
from the Hospitality Management professor.
Transportation Club of Decatur Scholarship
Scholarship awarded each year for tuition, fees, or books.
Must be a full-time student with a 3.0 GPA or better
enrolled in a business/accounting curriculum. Scholarship
awarded based on need. Recipient may not receive other scholarships
or financial aid. Recipients are required to attend the annual
Transportation Club meeting in October.
Chuck and Mary Jo Novak Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition.
Must be a full- or part-time student with a declared major in education. Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 out of 4.0 and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses or above each semester. Amount of award will be determined by endowment income.
Dr. David Cooprider Education Scholarship
Scholarship provides one semester of tuition or fees. Amount
of award will be determined by available funds.
Scholarship awarded to an incoming freshman majoring
in education. The student must be enrolled full-time and
maintain a GPA of 3.0.
Marjorie Sangster Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition or books.
Awarded to a student in upper level theatre, speech
or drama classes at Richland. Must be full-time. A GPA of
2.75 is required.
Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) Welding Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition fees, books, and supplies.
Scholarship awarded to those pursuing a basic 30 credit hour
welding certificate with ASME certification at RCC. Must be a
high school or GED graduate with a letter of recommendation.
May be enrolled full- or part-time with a minimum of six credit
hours and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0. Recipients must complete
all courses for the semester in which funding is approved.
Albert M. Andreas Horticulture Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Scholarship awarded to a student pursuing a degree
in horticulture or agriculture. Student must be enrolled
in at least 12 semester hours, have a 2.75 GPA, and complete
all courses in semester for which funding is provided.
Bernie Flock Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition or books.
Student must be studying horticultural or related
agricultural field. Student may be enrolled full- or part-time,
and should maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Caterpillar Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition and books, awarded to those who are
pursuing any of the engineering technology degrees at Richland.
May be full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit
hours of 100-level courses or above. A cumulative GPA of
2.0 is required. Preference given to former IMO (Industrial
Manufacturing Occupations) students, minority and female
applicants, and to family members of CAT employees.
Frank Rolf Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Awarded to an Ag/horticulture student committed to
continuing at the U of I in the College of ACES transfer
program. May be full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit
hours of 100-level courses. A GPA of 2.5 is required.
Garden Club of Decatur Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition or books.
Student must be pursuing a degree in horticulture
or agribusiness. Student may be enrolled full- or part-time,
and should have a 2.75 GPA.
Lowell Price Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books. Amount of award
will be determined by endowment income.
Student must be enrolled full-time and pursuing a
degree in engineering, science, or a technology curriculum.
Recipients must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0, must have completed
at least one semester of study at Richland Community College,
and must not have previously received a Price Scholarship.
Macon County Lady Landowners Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Student must be enrolled full time with a cumulative
GPA of 2.50. Award is for a second year student majoring
in agriculture or horticulture.
Alumni Scholarship
Scholarship for three credit hours tuition.
Scholarship for all Richland alumni (certificate
holders or degree graduates) interested in returning to RCC.
This does not apply to Continuing and Professional Education
classes. This scholarship is available if two or more years
have passed since graduation. If the course is greater than
three credit hours, the student must pay the difference and
is responsible for all registration and instructional fees.
An alumnus who withdraws from a class forfeits the waiver.
Alumni Association Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount determined by number of gifts
during the Alumni Reunion.
Scholarship awarded to all majors. May be full- or part-time.
A GPA of 2.75 is required.
American Legion Post 105 Book Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Scholarship awarded to veterans recently returning from
overseas duty. Recipients may be full- or part-time with a cumulative
GPA of 2.50.
Darrell and Ursula Beck Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Awarded to a recent graduate of St. Teresa High School
who will be attending Richland Community College. Priority will
be given to a student enrolled in electronics, dance, theatre,
or speech classes.
Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours, must
maintain a 2.75 GPA, and must complete all courses for semester
in which funding is provided. Scholarship may be renewed but
requires application and is restricted to Richland Community
College.
Boys and Girls Club Scholarship
Scholarship to be used for tuition, fees, or books. Amount of
award will be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship provided by Mr. and Mrs. George Prust. First
preference is given to any current or former member in good standing
with the Boys and Girls Club. If no members of the Boys and Girls
Club apply, preference will be given to a minority student or
a student with financial need. Open to full- or part-time students
at Richland Community College with a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Student
must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100 level
courses or above.
Brandon Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Students may be enrolled full- or part-time but must
complete all courses for the semester in which funding is provided.
Scholarships to be awarded to students based on need and to those
who do not qualify for Federal Pell Grant or Illinois MAP Grant.
Students must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Howard E. and Helen R. Brown Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship awarded to a recent graduates of Meridian
High School who will be attending Richland Community College.
Must be a full- or part-time student with a minimum of 6 credit
hours of 100-level courses or above per semester beginning the
fall semester following graduation. A cumulative GPA of 2.75
is required.
College Book Stores of America Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Priority will be given to students who are not eligible
for financial aid. Students may be enrolled full- or part-time
and must have a 2.5 GPA.
Decatur Area Women's Network Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books, open to all majors.
May be full- or part-time. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is
required. Preference given to women who are reentering the workforce
with financial needs due to family obligations.
Decatur Earthmover Credit Union Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined by
endowment income.
Scholarship awarded to member or dependent of member
of Decatur Earthmover Credit Union. Must be a member for at least
one year and in good standing. A 2.75 GPA is required.
Employee-Sponsored Book Scholarship
Scholarship for books, open to all majors.
May be full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit
hours of 100-level courses and above. A cumulative GPA of 2.0
is required. Provided by the employees of Richland Community
College from the Employee Giving Campaign.
First Presbyterian Book Scholarship
Scholarship for books; for all majors.
Must be a resident of Macon County. May be full- or part-time
with a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses or above.
A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required. Amount of award will be
determined by endowment income.
Futures Unlimited Scholarship
Available to the top student graduating from Futures Unlimited
High School.
Scholarship will provide up to 30 credit hours of tuition
for one year following high school graduation. Applicant must
be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours. In addition, recipient
must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 to continue funding from
the fall to spring semester.
Brenda K. Garrett Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, books or childcare. Amount of
award will be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship for a student who completed the Richland
Community College GED Program and is seeking a degree at Richland
Community College. Scholarships will be presented at the GED
graduation ceremony. Applications available in the GED Office.
Glenn Family Scholarship
Scholarship for full tuition at Richland Community College (no
summers). Student must plan to transfer to the Millikin University
PACE Program to pursue an accelerated degree in the areas of
Accounting (B.S.), Criminal Justice (B.S.), Early Childhood Education
(B.S.), Elementary Education (B.S.), Nursing (R.N. to B.S.N.),
Organizational Leadership (B.S.) or other future accelerated
degree programs.
Richland student must be 24 years of age or older, have
3 years of work experience, and have earned at least 30 transferable
credits at Richland, and plan to transfer to Millikin immediately
following graduation. Student must also maintain a GPA of 3.0
while enrolled at Richland. Tuition assistance at Millikin University
also will be awarded; up to $2000 per year. Student must be continuously
enrolled in one of the accelerated programs offered. Scholarship
does not cover courses outside the accelerated program, books,
academic/technology fees, or out-of-district fees.
Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
Tuition scholarship for two semesters awarded to senior high
school students in Christian County who are residents of the
Richland Community College District.
Students must be enrolled full-time in 100-level courses.
Applicants must have a "C" average in high school and maintain
a GPA of 3.0 on a 5.0 scale or a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale. Student
must also complete all courses started at the beginning of the
semester to remain eligible. Applications are available through
the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce and submitted in
February of each year.
Dr. Hal Gronlund Book Fund Scholarship
Scholarship for books and instructional materials; to be awarded
annually. Amount of award will be determined by endowment income.
Preference given to Valedictorian Scholarship recipients.
Student must be enrolled full-time, have a 2.5 or higher GPA.
Helphinstine Family Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books. Amount of award determined
by available endowment income.
For all majors. May be enrolled full- or part-time with
a 2.5 grade point average or above.
Honors Program Scholarship
Eligible Students in the Honors Program may receive a 100% tuition
waiver.
For students achieving academic excellence at Richland
Community College. To apply for this particular scholarship,
contact the Honors Program coordinator at the College.
Brian Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Scholarship awarded to a male minority student. May be
full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level
courses. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.
John and Lena Klarner Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, and books. The number of scholarships
will be determined by available endowment income.
Scholarship for eligible Richland Community College students
preparing for careers in engineering, mathematics, information
technology, computer science, electronics, or any biological
or physical science field.
Eligible students may be enrolled full- or part-time
but must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.
Must be enrolled in 100-level or above courses to receive the
scholarship. Applicants must be pursuing a degree, must maintain
a 2.75 GPA, and must complete all courses for the period in which
funding is provided.
Klarner Transfer Scholarship
A portion of the dividends available each year from the Klarner
Endowment will be available to Richland Community College graduates
transferring to four-year Illinois public universities, with
preference given to Klarner Scholars.
All or a portion of the tuition may be provided to transferring
students depending on funds available. This scholarship is for
one year and may be renewed upon re-application. Must be accepted
as a junior at an Illinois public university and have proven
financial need as certified by the Financial Aid Office at the
University. Students must be full-time enrolled in an academic
program approved for Klarner Scholars, and maintain a cumulative
GPA of 2.75.
Livasy Family Scholarship
One year scholarship for tuition.
Scholarship available for all majors. May be full- or
part-time with a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses.
A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required. Amount of award determined
by available endowment income.
Dan Mash Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Scholarship awarded to a recent graduate of a high school
in Richland's district who is actively engaged in serving his
or her community. May be full- or part-time with a minimum of
6 credit hours of 100-level courses or above for the fall semester
following graduation. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
Masonic Macon Lodge #8 Scholarship - Harry L. Kline Fund
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books.
Students must be recent graduates from a Decatur high
school. Applicants must have a "C" average in high school and
have shown some service to school and/or community. Students
must be enrolled full-time, must maintain a 2.0 grade point each
semester, and must complete all courses started at the beginning
of the semester to remain eligible.
Military Order of the Purple Heart
Scholarship for fees and/or books.
May be enrolled full- or part-time and must have
a cumulative GPA of 2.5. Scholarship is for any Illinois
Veterans with DD214 or DD215, regardless of discharge date
- preference given to Purple Heart Recipients and disabled
veterans.
James Millikin Estate Tuition and Book Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition and books.
Scholarships will be available each semester for
full or part-time (enrolled in a minimum of two classes –
one of which must be 100-level or above) students who are
residents of Decatur and ineligible for full gift aid as
determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
Courses below the 100-level may be funded. However,
repeats of course below 100-level will not be considered.
The Foundation encourages recipients enrolled in courses
below the 100-level to discuss with their RCC counselor the
benefit of enrolling in ED 101, C DEV 112, P DEV 100, P DEV
101, or P DEV 100. Please see your RCC counselor for a scholarship
referral.
Mueller Company Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books.
Students must be a son or daughter of a Mueller Company employee.
Student must have already completed 12+ semester hours of
accredited college work and must be enrolled in a minimum
of 12 semester hours of 100-level or above courses to receive
the scholarship. Open to all majors. Student may only receive
scholarship once during his/her tenure at RCC. Applicants
must be pursuing a two-year degree. Scholarship recipient
based on academics, financial need, and other scholarships
awarded to applicants.
National City Bank Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Awarded to a Richland Community College student with
a 2.75 cumulative GPA or better, and financial need. Must
be a full-time student enrolled in any degree program and
planning to pursue a four-year degree.
P.E.O. Roundtable Scholarship
Scholarship for books.
Awarded to a female living in Macon County, with
preference given to those with proven financial need. May
be full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit hours of
100-level courses. A cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required.
John Rogers Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Awarded to a recent graduate of Clinton, Maroa-Forsyth,
Argenta-Oreana or Warrensburg-Latham High Schools. May be
full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level
courses or above for the fall semester following graduation.
A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.
Walter and Alice Scherer Scholarship
Scholarship for Full Tuition
Scholarship for outstanding students who will be
attending Richland Community College immediately following
graduation from high school.
Students who receive the scholarships will receive
full tuition for two years (four semesters, no summers) at
Richland Community College, and tuition assistance for two
years (four semesters, no summers) at an Illinois public
senior institution. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 15 semester
hours of 100-level or above courses to receive the scholarship.
Applicants must be pursuing a degree and must maintain a
2.75 GPA, and must complete all courses in which they are
enrolled each semester. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Curtis and Patricia Sears Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Student may be enrolled full- or part-time. A minimum
of six semester hours is required. Students must complete
all courses in semester for which funding is provided, and
must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Senator Penny Severns Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books. Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
For all majors. Open to full- or part-time students,
but a minimum of six credit hours is required. Student must
have 2.75 GPA and be enrolled in 100-level or above courses.
Al and Anne Swartz Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
For all majors. May be full- or part-time with a
minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses. A cumulative
GPA of 2.75 is required.
Tate and Lyle Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees and books. Scholarship amounts
will be determined by annual company donations, number of
applicants, and the financial need of applicants.
Scholarship for a student who is related to a Tate
and Lyle employee.Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester
hours of 100-level or above courses to receive the scholarship.
Open to all majors. Applicants must be pursuing a two-year
degree, must maintain a 2.75 GPA, and must complete at least
12 semester hours for each term funding is received.
Trustees Scholarship
Scholarship provides up to two years tuition to current year
graduates from high schools in Richland's District who are
in the top ten percent of their graduating class (a 3.5 GPA
on a 4.0 scale, or a 4.375 on a 5.0 scale.)
Scholarships provide up to 30 credit hours per year
(no summer school). Students must mail a sealed copy of their
high school transcript to the Richland Registrar's Office
after their seventh semester, with proof of class rank and
GPA, and be enrolled at Richland Community College the semester
immediately following high school graduation. Students are
required to take at least 12 credit hours of 100-level or
above courses and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5.
Non-public high schools must be registered with and recognized
by the State Board of Education and published in the most
recent Directory of Illinois Recognized Non-public Schools.
Valedictorian Scholarship
A book scholarship is added to the Trustees Scholarship (described
above) for each high school Valedictorian from Richland Community
College's District who enrolls at Richland immediately following
graduation from their high school.
Books are covered for two years as long as a 3.5
grade point average is maintained.
John Wagner / Intermet Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees and books. Amount of award
will be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship for a person demonstrating a past working
relationship with the former Wagner Castings / Intermet plant
in Decatur. May be full- or part-time. For all majors. Scholarship
to be awarded to former Wagners employees or their descendants.
Recipients must have a 2.0 GPA.
George and Lillian Walden Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition and fees. Amount of award will be
determined by endowment income.
Must be a full-time student pursuing a degree in
any field. Scholarship to be awarded based on need. Recipients
must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Cancer Federation Scholarship Scholarship for tuition, fees or books for those majoring in biology, health sciences, or other related fields. Must be a full-time student enrolled in 100-level courses with a 2.75 GPA.
Dr. Joseph and Martha Schrodt Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition
Scholarship for a student pursuing an Associate Degree
in Nursing (RN) or a Practical Nursing (PN) or Certified
Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA).
Students must be accepted into the Richland Community
College Nursing Program or enrolled in the CNA program. Students
may be enrolled full- or part-time and must have a 2.75 GPA.
Gilbert Breighner Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Awarded to a student pursuing an Associate Degree
in Nursing (RN) or a Practical Nursing (PN) or Certified
Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA). Students must be accepted
into the Richland Community College Nursing Program or enrolled
in the CNA program. Students may be enrolled full- or part-time
and must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Illinois Health Improvement Association Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, books, study guides, or expenses
directly related to the health field curricula.
Student may be full- or part-time enrolled in a health
care program that provides direct medical care to individuals.
Student must also plan to practice in Illinois. Preference
given to students with demonstrated financial need.
Imboden Creek Health Services Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books.
Scholarship awarded to a nursing student showing
interest in the geriatric field. Student must reapply for
subsequent semesters. Student may be full- or part-time with
a minimum of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses or above
and must have a 2.5 GPA.
Scott Stevens Jack Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition or books. Amount of award will be
determined by endowment income.
Awarded to a full- or part-time student who has completed
30-credit-hours of study at Richland Community College. A
cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.
James Millikin Estate Special Fund for Nursing Essentials
One time award for students in the Registered Nursing Program
for non-book essentials and other learning supplements.
Student must be a resident of Decatur, ineligible
for full gift aid as determined by the Free Application for
Federal Student Aid. A GPA of 2.5 is required.
Jeanne Hoppe Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition (30 credits) Amount of award will
be determined by endowment income.
Scholarship for a student pursuing an Associate Degree
in Nursing (RN) or a Practical Nursing (PN) or Certified
Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA). Students must be accepted
into the Richland Community College Nursing Program or enrolled
in the CNA program. Students may be enrolled full- or part-time
and must have a 2.75 GPA.
Macon County Medical Society Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees or books. Amount of award determined
by available endowment income.
Available for students studying in the medical fields;
preference given to those with proven financial need. May
be full- or part-time. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.
Marianna Eichenauer Scholarship
Scholarship awarded to the top nursing student graduating
from Richland and continuing on at Millikin University immediately
following graduation.
Scholarship paid directly to Millikin. Student must
be enrolled full-time at Millikin for the semester following
graduation. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is required.
Marilyn Casey Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, books, study guides, or expenses
directly related to a health-related field.
Student may be full- or part-time (minimum of 6 credit
hours) enrolled in a health care program that provides direct
medical care to individuals. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is
required. Student also must plan to practice in Illinois.
Preference will be given to students with demonstrated financial
need.
Nursing Scholarship in Memory of Jean Oldweiler
Scholarship for Tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by available funds.
Scholarship for a student pursing an Associate Degree
in Nursing (RN), Practical Nursing (PN), or Certified Nursing
Assistant Certificate (CNA). Student must be accepted into
the Richland Community College Nursing Program or enrolled
in the CNA program. Students may be enrolled full- or part-time
and must have a 2.75 GPA.
Schwarze Family Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition. Amount of award will be determined
by endowment income.
Scholarship available to nursing students. The scholarship
is for a student who is already employed by DMH or St. Mary's
for at least a year and plans to stay in Decatur and work
at either hospital in direct patient care.
May be full- or part-time with a minimum of 6 credit
hours of 100-level courses. A cumulative GPA of 2.75 is required.
Jacqueline Scott Severns Nursing Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees and/or books. Amount of award
will be determined by endowment income.
Applicants must be accepted into the Richland Community
College Nursing Program. Student may be enrolled full- or
part-time, and must maintain a 2.75 GPA.
Violet Buchter-Goken Memorial Scholarship
One year scholarship for tuition, fees, or books. Amount
of award will be determined by endowment income.
For those accepted in the nursing program at RCC;
preference given to residents of small towns in Macon County.
Students may be enrolled full- or part-time, and should have
a 3.0 GPA.
Associate in Applied Science Scholarships
Scholarship covers tuition for up to 30 credit hours for one
year. Scholarship for a graduating high school senior who enrolls
in an Associate in Applied Science occupational program at
Richland Community College the fall semester following high
school graduation. Must be a full-time student. A cumulative
GPA of 2.75 is required.
Association of Facilities Engineers Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books.
May be used at Richland or away. Student must be
enrolled full-time and pursuing a four-year degree in engineering,
science, or a technology curriculum. Recipients should have
a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, must have completed at
least one semester of study at Richland Community College,
and may not have previously received an AFE Chapter 126 Scholarship.
Special application deadline: January of each year.
Daftary Family Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, fees, or books.
Preference given to students with financial need.
May be full- or part-time. Scholarship for those majoring

Firefighters Local 505 Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition awarded to a recent graduate of a
high school in the RCC district who is majoring in fire science
with plans to become a firefighter.
Second semester assistance may be provided if GPA
requirements are met. May be full- or part-time with a minimum
of 6 credit hours of 100-level courses or above. A cumulative
GPA of 2.5 is required.
Illinois Association of Fire Protection Districts Scholarship
Scholarship for tuition, books, study guides, or expenses
directly related to Fire Science curricula.
Student may be full- or part-time, must be a resident
of the State of Illinois, and complete the course(s) with
a passing grade. Scholarship requires student to show proof
of firefighter eligibility - volunteer, paid-on-call, or
full-time.
