Louise F. (Wegi) Stewart, President
Wegi truly loves and is dedicated to her community. After leaving the area for her education, she returned to Decatur to raise her family and later begin her career. Philanthropy and community leadership are values she has held since early adulthood, when she immersed herself in the volunteer arena to support her church, children’s nursery school, grade schools, and education for women. Now, as leader of The Community Foundation, Wegi gets great satisfaction in helping others meet their charitable intentions by leading efforts to make Macon County a better place to raise a family, work, learn and play. Wegi holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
