2019 Community Engagement Grant Awards

Macon County – The Community Foundation of Macon County has announced the recipients of the 2019 Community Engagement Grant Awards. $100,000 was awarded in $5,000 and $10,000 increments to the following community programs:

The funding priority for the 2019 grant cycle was education and youth programs serving adolescents, ages birth through 18. The Community Engagement Grant Program was funded by an anonymous donor with a lead gift of $300,000. The Community Foundation of Macon County expresses deep gratitude to our anonymous donor who made this new grant program possible in hopes of building community capacity and supporting individual well-being.

The Community Foundation of Macon County serves as a resource to donors and their professional advisors in the community, acting as a flexible vehicle for philanthropy, working with a variety of gift types and offering tax advantages for those gifts. The Community Foundation was founded in 2000 and currently manages $40 million in assets.
